Thankful at Thanksgiving!

I must say that this Thanksgiving was one to to be extra thankful for. I am so very lucky to have such an amazing family. My friends are the most supportive bunch I could ever ask for!

We had two Thanksgiving dinners this year. One with Meggie and Dylan and one just with my parents. Both were delicious and of course I over ate so it is back to the diet starting Monday, I will also start pounding the pavement again. I have started to get a little squishy. Time to tone it back up!!

After our second Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, my parents and I headed up to our lovely Park City condo. We are very blessed to have this place. It has the most stunning views and not to mention amazing showers! I am forever a convert to the rain head shower heads. If you have not experienced one yet you are missing out.

I got to see Ben a few times and I must say every time I see him, I like him more and more. On Thursday we had a little hot tub and sauna time followed by a super fun game of pass the popcorn( a movie trivia game). I lost but only by one point!! I was a little upset by that. I need a rematch! I know I can win.

On Friday I got to see Josh Fagen! It has been 3 months since I have seen him, it was nice to catch up. We had dinner and then played a little beer pong. I was a bit rusty that is for sure.

Saturday I got to spend some time with Ben, he made me some tea, I caught a little cold from him. It was the least he could do. Later that night we went to see J.Edgar. It was really well done just a little long. Afterwards we got a little "lost" on the way back to my house. He is such a good kisser!

OOh I have also started working at Verisys as a content analyst. It is tedious and boring but it pays the bills. I am still looking for a job that I actually enjoy. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Oh well it is no surprise that I am an awful blogger.

I believe that the last time I blogged was right after I got home from a super fab trip to SLC.
Well a few things have happened....

I reunited with an old friend and she and I put all of our high school drama behind us and have started over as friends and I love it!

I am headed out to SLC to visit my dad after his shoulder surgery. I am very excited to see all of my lovely friends and family.

I have begun dating a guy and we've been seeing each other a couple of weeks and he's great. Josh is in the Air force a few years older than me and such a gentleman! I forgot that people had manners!!

I am still working both jobs and I must say thank the baby Jesus for Sunday. It is my only day off and I love the relaxation. I get to clean my room hang out with the family( Meggie,Dylan and Fiona). We have started a tradition of Sunday FUNday with our friends in Colorado Springs. Last weekend we all went down to Boulder to celebrate Meg and Dylan's engagement!!

It was a blast and I am looking forward to all the memories to be made here in Denver!

A little catch up

Oh my goodness I have so very much to tell you.
I finally got not only one but two jobs!!! I am an intern at Altitude Digital Partners and I will be working part time at bebe. I am super excited about both of these.
I will say that I am learning so very much at my internship. I have successfully set up a sub account within our new IP address so we can send out mass e-mails. Which is amazing since I am always confused with technology. Now with bebe what else can I say besides these are my ladies, insta- friends and fabulous new clothes!! Wahoo!!

I recently visited Utah over Labor Day weekend. Meggie Dylan and I loaded up the Volvo and drove the 8 hours to beautiful SLC! We arrived super late on Friday. Meggie and I eagerly jumped into bed with our parents(they did not appreciate this). Saturday morning I was sup very early 7:00 a.m. but I only slept for 3 hours. My parents have a grandfather clock that chimes every 15 minutes!! I dined at Carl's Cafe with all of my lovely friends. After breakfast there was the long awaited lunch at Lone Star tacqueria, if you have never eaten there you are missing out! I dined on delicious fish tacos and Caronoa.
Next was a stop at the new Miller family homestead in Park City. It was beautiful and I am excited to make lots of family memories at this condo.
After a quick drive down the canyon I had only a few minutes to get ready for my date. Blink 182 concert with Ben Clower( yes he is the boy in SLC that I like) we met up with his family and ate a little dinner had a couple of Margaritas and enjoyed a fabulous show. After which we headed back to his house with a quick stop to see a super drunk Meggie and Dylan at a party.
Sunday was breakfast at Eggs and the City a little hair dye action and then nap time and big dinner with friends at the folks.
Monday was lunch with Erin followed by snow cones and Tosh .O with Ellie!!

It was a great trip and I loved spending time with everyone.

Oh I forgot one tiny little nugget of info, I have been seeing a guy out here in Denver. We met at the pool and have hit it off. Any hoo the night before I left we watched jersey shore and snuggled. Friday he called me to wish me a safe trip and then he called every day I was gone to say hello. Needless to say on Sunday he sent me a little message to check the temperature of the room, see where I stood with us. I told him I liked him and needed to take things slow. He and I are on the same page.

Today I am sickly and he is bringing me Popsicles. Adorable I know!

News in my personal life is going great, I made a friend at the pool and she is wonderful. I also met a super cute guy and he and I had a puppy play date(he has a boxer) and we are going on a date this weekend.

I am finally looking forward to the new adventures in CO!

Interview

I had an interview with Xterra Wetsuits on Tuesday, I love the company! I have a second interview on Friday so wish me luck. I might just get a job!!
But I will say that the fella interviewing me seemed quite uncomfortable. Now I don;t know if it was because he doesn't ever interview anyone or because I am just so pretty! I chose to believe the later.

I also made quiche for dinner and I am proud to say that we ate all of it! There were no left overs. Here's my recipe try it out

QUICHE

Preheat the oven to 425F.

1 pastry shell (uncooked) in a large deep pie pan.

Spread mustard on the crust.

Sauté a handful of thin sliced onion (or add 2 tablespoons minced dried onion)

Saute - in one tablespoon of butter- a couple of handfuls of fresh spinach

OR cook and drain half a package of frozen spinach.

Add a handful of cooked crumbled bacon (10 pieces) or cubed ham.

½ cup to 1 ½ cups (your choice) of grated cheeses [gouda, cheddar, or swiss]. Toss with 1 tablespoon of flour.

Add the sautéed onion, bacon and spinach to the pie pan. Add the flour-coated cheese to the pie pan.

Combine (whisk till frothy):

6 eggs

1 cup of milk

½ teaspoon salt (optional if using bacon or ham)

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

A quick shake/dash cayenne pepper

Pour custard into pie plate over all other ingredients.

Bake 15 minutes at 425f. Lower the heat to 350F and bake another 30 minutes OR until a knife inserted near the middle comes out clean. Serve warm or cold.

Denver

I have made it to Denver.
Tomorrow marks one week!!

My last week in SLC was amazing and full of fun surprises. There were lots of BBQ's, dinners and lunches as I said goodbye to my most amazing friends.

We went out to bars, went to see a few movies and even made it to a country concert. Tim McGraw was outstanding!! I loved every minute of my last week.

Now being in Denver feels like one big vacation. I am trying to find a job and I continually apply for new jobs and I have to say that it is finally paying off. I have an interview tomorrow with Xterra Wetsuits! I am excited about the opportunity they seem like a super fun company to work for! I'll keep you posted on how that one goes.

As far as my personal life goes. The lonely has started to set in. I miss my friends and I miss having someone to snuggle with when you watch a movie. I have been talking to a boy in Utah and I feel like I am just setting my self up for disaster. I don't believe in long distance relationships because it hurts to be so far away from someone you care about. But this could also be the start of a very great friendship...
